Our original slogan was “Become the complete guitarist.” When a student completes the courses, they will be an all-purpose guitarist or ukulele player:

  • They can play the most important chords and chord progressions.

  • The most important rhythms and strumming patterns.

  • The most common scales (the major scale, the pentatonic scale, etc).

  • They will know how to read TAB (short for “tablature”), chord sheets, and basic music notation, and they will know how to transpose into different keys easily.

  • They will be able to play rhythm and lead guitar, electric and acoustic.

  • They can use common guitar/music tools: the capo, metronome, tuner.

  • They can play on a worship team at church or play in some other band, etc.

  • The ukulele player will know how to play the most common chords and strumming patterns; they will know how to read TAB and chord sheets; they will have all the tools and techniques they need to play or create their favorite songs.
